Mess on desk

A former student at Camelback High School in Phoenix returned two books to the school library that were originally taken out in 1959. Accompanied with these two books was a letter and a money order for $1,000 dollars.

The money order was sent by an anonymous person who supplied this money to cover the late fee cost of $2 cents per day for each book. This amount is equal to $745 dollars. The extra money was sent just in case the rates had changed.

According to the letter, the reason why the books took so long to be returned was because the borrower’s family moved to a different state and the books were mistakenly packed.

I guess sometimes it is never too late to make things right.
