Driver Calls 911 to Report Herself Drunk

In Neilsville, Wisconsin, 49-year-old woman Mary Strey called 911 to report herself drunk. Strey had been driving three miles east of Neilsville, when she called in to say, “I don’t want to hurt anybody. I’m drunk.”
She was instructed to pull over with her hazards on, which she did until a police officer came to the scene. She was cited with a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving.
I understand that it may be weird for someone to report themselves to 911, especially when they are drunk, but Strey actually did the smart thing in this situation.
