A man in Charlotte, North Carolina will spend the rest of his life in prison after indirectly causing the death of a 79-year-old woman.

21-year-old man Larry Whitfield was found not guilty of murder, but he was found guilty of causing the death of this woman by kidnapping her, which is an automatic life sentence.

Back in September following a failed bank robbery, Whitfield was looking for a place to hide so he jumped through the window of this woman’s home. When she saw him, she consequently suffered a heart attack. Whitfield never touched her, nor did he call for help.

I guess sometimes, crime does not pay!
